Clonazepam is a drug having anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, amnestic, sedative, and hypnotic properties. It is marketed under various trade names including Rivotril,  Klonopin and Linotril and Clonotril in UK. The legal limit is 50 µg/L

It is prescribed for epilepsy and seizures. It has also been used for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, anxiety disorders, migraines and panic disorders.

The side effects can include drowsiness and motor impairment including impaired co ordination and balance and dizziness.
